Lakeview Townhouse
Project Muse
Our longstanding client had said to us that as soon as her mother downsized she would be inheriting a bevy of beautiful heirloom furniture. Nothing gets a designer salivating like the words “heirloom furniture”; we had the design studio ready and waiting. It came as promised and we had a field day finding fun and fresh mint & fuchsia textiles to breath new life into these storied family treasures. The refreshed dining room, living room and foyer landed in that perfect territory where beautiful antiques pair with wild and bright patterns, resulting in a design that can only be described as chic.
Noteworthy Moment
You have to love a client who outright trusts you. Sometimes you can feel it in the very first meeting, sometimes it is earned following years of beautiful installations and a mutual design dependancy. I’m honestly not even sure which came first here; all I know is that this client trusted us immensely. When we proposed to paint the entire front half of her house a very bold mint green, she smiled and said I love it! Then we topped that with a vibrant raspberry velvet sofa resulting in a color combo that has been adored and shared hundreds of times by design fans.
In the client's own words...
"When I’m at work during the day, I dream about coming home and enjoying a glass of wine on this sofa. I love how Sarah was able to incorporate many pieces from my parents house which remind me so much of my childhood, and yet make the room feel new and fresh. It is now my favorite room in the house.“
