Kenilworth Georgian
Project Muse
There is no greater compliment than a return client. When this client bought their first home in the North Shore nearly a decade ago, they inherited with it a beautiful chartreuse hallway. We fell in love with the vivid color and knew it had to come with them when they moved into this home. Except in this home it became the backdrop for the living room perfectly complementing the deep violet velvet sofa adorned in an ever-so-subtle chartreuse greek key trim. We introduced a floral by Ferrick Mason that intertwined the violets, greens and camel on their reupholstered chairs. And, of course, a touch of tiger print.
Noteworthy Moment
We have long had an affection for cornices. They warm and enrich a room while simultaneously serving the very tactical purpose of adding height to the room. We immediately knew this would be a cornice room and settled on white cornices piped in a deep voilet navy calling back to the sofa. With this Moroccan style cornice it’s all about nailing the shape. We had the templates made and brought out on site more than once to ensure they fit the windows like a glove. They are undoubtedly our favorite touch of this gorgeous living room.
in the client’s own words…
“Sarah and I share a love for color, but she pushed me in using the amazing chartreuse paint in living room which we couldn’t love more. My favorite room in the house though might be our master bedroom. Sarah took a blank white room and transformed it with gorgeous built ins while also pushing us to take our love for color up another notch in painting them and adding the bold fabric backed wallpaper. There honestly isn’t a day that I don’t feel happy walking into our bedroom!”
